Year 7 and 8 TEC students are provided with experiences using a range of materials including food, fabric, metal and timber. Students also build on the computing skills that they bring from primary school. Students may choose to specialise in one particular area in year 9 and 10 through their choice of electives. Mini Electives in Year 8 provide experience in specialised areas such as food and electronics.

Students choosing TAS electives in Year 9 and 10 are able to participate in a number of subjects. In Food Technology students are involved in activities such as the Masterchef Challenge, cupcake competition, cake decorating and creating their own food product.

Studying Information and Software Design allows students the opportunity to learn the basics of making web pages to assist with school based digital media activities. Creating projects such as tables, BBQ's, roof racks, trailers and wall units in Timber and Metal provides students with valuable practical skills for use in trade areas in the future. VET Construction enables students to achieve competencies that they are able to build on in Year 11 and Year 12.
